Fall Festival and Halloween Light Competition
Posted on Oct 6th, 2024
First and foremost, our Fall Festival is scheduled for October 19th-12-4pm in the Manitoba green space with the entrance located at 424 Manitoba Lane. We have so many exciting things planned for that day for everyone in the neighborhood. Our Chili Cook-Off is set to begin taste testing at 12pm, inflatables for the kids all day, and a Halloween Costume Contest at 1pm! Prizes for the person crowned Chili King/Queen and for best halloween costume!
If you plan on participating in the Chili Cook-Off, please be sure to register no later than October 16th by filling out this Google Form to ensure that the board has enough supplies (toppings, bowls, spoons, Tums, etc.) You must be a resident in Glasford in order to enter.

Secondly, we will be giving a prize to the home with the Best Halloween Decorations this year! The competition will begin on October 20-30th with an online submission and voting process similar to our Holiday Lights Competition that we held last December. I loved the neighborhood friendly competition and seeing neighbors out and about looking at all of the decorations.  Stay tuned for registration details and requirements.
Fall in the Neighborhood
Posted on Sep 4th, 2024
Dear Neighbors,
Happy Wednesday! I can't believe how fast this year has flown. I feel like we were just talking about our Spring Social and now fall is quickly approaching. I wanted to go ahead and send out some upcoming dates and events happening in our neighborhood in the next upcoming months.
September, from an HOA standpoint, seems to be a (dare I say it) slow month with really nothing happening. The board plans to have our private quarterly meeting this month and we will upload a copy of the minutes afterwards.
October, however, seems rapidly approaching with all sorts of fun events happening. First, our Fall Yard Sale on 10/5. This will fall on the same weekend as Waterford's Fall Yard Sale to hopefully drive more traffic into our neighborhood as well. I have found this amazing feature on google that will allow us to have an interactive map with all of the addresses listed who plan to host a yard sale, how cool! Please be sure to either comment on the facebook post in the "Glasford Neighborhood; Lex, KY" page or email us back here with your address. I've attached our "flyer" for our yard sale if you wanted to share with friends and family and/or on your personal social media pages as well.
Food Truck Friday, General Upkeep Email sent 8/29
Posted on Aug 29th, 2024
Dear Neighbors,

Happy Thursday! I hope this email finds you well in the sweltering heat. To our little neighbors: I hope you have had a great start to your school year and that you are settling in well with your new teachers!

I just wanted to send a quick reminder about our last Food Truck Friday of the season happening tomorrow evening (8/30). Kentucky Q (a personal favorite), Tates Creek Cheer baked goods, and our neighborhood produce truck will be present at 3909 Mooncoin Way starting at 6pm. Please be sure to come out and support these local businesses that have come to our little slice of Lexington to make your Friday evening a little easier. There is plenty of street parking and we will have tables and chairs set up for everyone to use.

I'm saddened to say that I've seen a large number of comments on the Facebook Group (Glasford Neighborhood; Lex, KY) concerning pet waste that is not being picked up throughout the neighborhood.
Food Truck Friday 7/26

Kentucky Q will be making their first appearance of the summer finally this Friday. We also have THREE neighbors setting up booths that we hope you come and support! We will have macarons, baked goods, and a lemonade stand! Remember, FTF will be held at 3909 Mooncoin Way.

July In the Neighborhood, Important Updates about Food Truck Friday
Posted on Jul 6th, 2024
Dear Neighbors,
Happy Saturday! We hope that this email finds you well after a nice long holiday weekend. We wanted to share some updates with you of what is happening in the neighborhood this month!

Food Truck Friday (FTF)
Our favorite neighborhood event is moving!! We would like to thank Mark Adams for hosting FTF at his home over the past few years. At the annual meeting, we had a neighbor suggest hosting events throughout the neighborhood and not just on Manitoba. We heard you loud and clear and this is something that the board is continuing to work on. As such, FTF will now be hosted up on Mooncoin near the townhomes at 3909 Mooncoin Way. There is much less through traffic so we believe it should be safer for our little neighbors. Please be sure to come out to support the food trucks so they will keep coming back to our neighborhood! We will have updated signs throughout the neighborhood reminding people of the address change.
