July In the Neighborhood, Important Updates about Food Truck Friday
Posted on Jul 6th, 2024

Dear Neighbors,
Happy Saturday! We hope that this email finds you well after a nice long holiday weekend. We wanted to share some updates with you of what is happening in the neighborhood this month!

Food Truck Friday (FTF)
Our favorite neighborhood event is moving!! We would like to thank Mark Adams for hosting FTF at his home over the past few years. At the annual meeting, we had a neighbor suggest hosting events throughout the neighborhood and not just on Manitoba. We heard you loud and clear and this is something that the board is continuing to work on. As such, FTF will now be hosted up on Mooncoin near the townhomes at 3909 Mooncoin Way. There is much less through traffic so we believe it should be safer for our little neighbors. Please be sure to come out to support the food trucks so they will keep coming back to our neighborhood! We will have updated signs throughout the neighborhood reminding people of the address change.

Our next FTF will be this Friday, 7/12, with Burnacos, Matt's Hotdog Stand (tentative), West Sixth, and we have a neighbor who will be selling homemade baked goods.

Later this month on 7/26, we will have a FAN FAVORITE Kentucky Q.

Dumpsters
The Glasford HOA board would like to sponsor three or so dumpsters throughout the neighborhood for one weekend to help homeowners declutter any large or bulky items. The board is looking for volunteers throughout the neighborhood to place dumpsters on the street in front of their homes. You will have ease of access to throw away your items before other neighbors. I suspect all of the dumpsters will fill up quickly. The city would drop off the dumpster on Friday and pickup on Monday. Please let us know if you are willing to "host" a dumpster.

Board Vacancy
We still have a vacancy on the board. We continue to be able to meet quorum with the current number of board members which is why there is no need to host an election. If you are interested in volunteering for the board (which is wonderful, if I do say so myself), please feel free to reach out to any current board member.

As always, if you have any questions or concerns, please reach out to us and we will be happy to help.

Thanks for continuing to be a great neighbor.

Sincerely,
Mikayla Qualls
HOA President
